POLICIES, TERMS & CONDITIONS

Drummers: Bring your sticks, felts and cymbals.  Felts are available to check out for free if you forget them but cymbals are not provided in sessions.

Guitarists/Bassists: Bring your instrument, picks, and a cable to connect to an amp.  Cables are available to check out to use in your session free-of-charge if you forget.

Vocalists: If you don't have your own mic and cable, you can check out an SM58 and mic cable for your session for free in the Red/Black rooms.  Recording in suites A & B will have a much wider mic selection available for the engineer to use in your session.

We accept VISA, Mastercard, Debit, Paypal, Venmo or Cash. NO CHECKS - 

All reservations are not officially booked until payment for the booking is received.

All booking dates and times are subject to availability and not guaranteed to be available if not booked, and paid for, in advance.

Website bookings are paid for with credits purchased through the Paypal checkout system.

Tips for your recording engineers are not expected but are certainly welcome.

Availability and optional use of the following equipment is included in the rate: 

5-piece drum kit and accessories (Cymbal stands but no cymbals)

Two guitar amplifiers and cabinets for each (or combo amps)

(1) One bass guitar amplifier and cabinet

(1) One small P.A. – 2 speakers, amplifier, and mixer. 

Standard dynamic microphones, cables and stands. 

Ambient room stereo recording and engineer assistance with transferring files during the time booked.

Book and prepay online for the best deal – no discounts are given outside of the website unless paying for 12-hour full day rate.   

There are prepaid credit deals to save money for those that book the sound studios here frequently in the Paypal credit checkout system.

Bookings can be rescheduled without penalty up until 48-hours prior to the session start. No refunds on bookings or unused time.

The Red/Black sound studios available for booking online are not multitrack studios.  Recording services available in the Red/Black rooms utilize a simple stereo ambient room mic.  If you are looking for hi-quality standard multitrack recording or overdubbing you should call to book with an engineer in Studio A or B.

Same-day bookings are welcome but subject to availability.

We close after the last scheduled band leaves and occasionally we may not come until right before the first band is scheduled to arrive - whenever that is. 

Therefore, it’s best to call ahead if you haven’t pre-purchased and officially booked your time to make sure we are here for you.

- Shirts, shoes and pants must be worn at all times.

- Possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages on the premises is prohibited. 

- Non-alcoholic beverages are allowed in the rooms provided the beverage is in a sealed container (plastic bottles w/ screw-on lids, travel mugs, etc., are OK - No Glass containers, paper/plastic cups with straws, etc.) which must remain sealed when not in use. 

- SER does not permit the possession, sale, or use of any illegal substances on the premises – violation of this condition will get you thrown out and it is not up for discussion or debate.

- No unsupervised children under the age of 12 in the halls or waiting areas. They must be with the adult guest they came with or have another responsible supervisor with them in the waiting areas. 

- Food is not allowed inside the studios or control rooms. 

- Our spaces are for musical creativity and recording ONLY. Please do not engage in any activity that may damage or destroy the equipment.

The booking party will be held responsible for damages to SER equipment that result from careless or malicious abuse of said equipment. SER will charge the booking party for no more than 120% of the original SER purchase price of the item(s) in question if we deem that the item was misused or handled improperly.

We are more than happy to provide you with this gear you need to play while in our studios, so please take care of it! Treat it as if you paid for it yourself, because if you break it, YOU WILL!

SER is not responsible for the loss or damage of misplaced or unsupervised personal goods. Please take care of your stuff, and be respectful of everyone else’s stuff.

Please book enough time in the rooms to factor in any set up and tear down time you need for your session.  

Session time is the time you have us reserve the room and the time you occupy the room, not just the time you spend playing music.

Amps, cabs, drums and PA are provided in the service to minimize the need for setup and teardown time.  Have the room vacated by the time your booking time ends to avoid being charged any additional $6.50 fees for up to 15-minutes of extra time used in the room.  

Please be especially mindful of the time you have the room occupied and courteous to not cut into another band’s booking when other groups' scheduled start time is immediately after yours.
